Instructions, pattern pieces, and measurements to create your own Velma Bags Shoulder Bag and Handbag. Inspired by the grace and style of Amy's Grandmother during the 1940's, the Velma Bag is a modern interpretation of a vintage gem. Top it off with a vintage broach!

for the Shoulder Bag

• 1/2 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the exterior
• 3/8 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the lining
• 1/4 yard of cotton canvas
• 1/8 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing
• 1" of Sew-on Velcro*
• 31" of 1/22 cotton upholstery cording
• 1 spool of coordinating thread – I recommend cotton covered polyester thread.

for the Handbag

• 1/2 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the exterior
• 3/8 yard of light to mid-weight cotton for the lining
• 1/4 yard of cotton canvas
• 1/8 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing
• 1" of Sew-on Velcro*
• 15" of 1/2" cotton upholstery cording
• 1 spool of coordinating thread – I recommend cotton covered polyester thread.
